Oyster Harvest & Cooking

Oyster season happens during the cooler months. The waters just up the coast from Charleston Fishing Lodge are among the cleanest and most pristine on the entire east coast of the United States. Capers and Price inlet are home to some of the most sweet and salty oysters found anywhere on the planet.  The oyster beds found here are very healthy and prime habitat for oyster development. The best oysters are found in close proximity to the ocean where the tides bring in fresh nutrients twice a day. Join Charlestonfishfinder.com for a boat ride out to the beds where we get out and harvest what we need for dinner. We will bring those sweet little blades back to the house and prepare them the way we grew up eating them. Baked on a pan in the oven!

Boots, thick rubber gloves and a hammer are a must. Individual fishing licenses are required and can be purchased at DNR.SC.gov.
